Attempted to upload a video today, no joy. Source was a video tape made 20 years ago with a consumer video cam. In the end, I wound up with a 3.5 min. artifact-laden MPG file with an integral soundfile I didn't need. Attempted to reduce file size and it just looked a lot worse. Attempted to strip uneeded sound file from it whoa, boy! That ain't even feasable far as I can see.
I don't intend to spend any money on this effort, after all, I don't shoot video. I'm critical of the technical quality I see on the internet, as it often looks like my latest effort-UNSAT. Am I missing something, or does this mean that video on the net is fairly impractical even if you are willing to settle for greatly compromised picture quality?
